Requirements: tixxtCloud Business, IndividualCloud Enterprise, IndividualCloud Maxx
The following settings can be made in the module settings for Channels in the network administration:
Activate Channels: #
Yes/No
The first menu item is used to decide whether channels for the network should be activated or deactivated. The channels module is deactivated as standard. If the network administrator activates the channels module, it appears as a new module in the network module bar.
Set Channels as home page #
Yes/No
If channels have been defined as the start module (check ‘Yes’), the user is taken directly to the channels module after logging in. The module is also displayed in the module bar above the posts module.
Who can manage Channels? #
In the following section, individual users or user groups can be defined as channel administrators. Selection options at a glance:
- Individual users
- Previously defined membership roles
- All group members from selected groups
- Only group administrators from selected groups
- Previously defined group membership roles
The available options above can be combined as required. To narrow down the suggestions, enter the first few letters in the text field, corresponding suggestions will then appear.
If the user has the appropriate permissions, they can be an administrator on all channels as described here. It is possible, however, to restrict a specific channel in the respective channel administration.
Set Channel home page #
This menu item allows you to set a channel home page. It is displayed to the user when they call up channels. The network administrator has the option to select one of all channels previously created. You can also configure the channel directory as the home page.
Assign Channel subscription #
Under this tab, specific members, groups of people, or all network members can be assigned a subscription to one or more channels. The search field helps you find the right entry, both when selecting members or groups of people and when selecting channels.
