With the design manager, network admins can personally customise the design of the tixxt platform and make changes at any time.
Design management #
The design manager can be found in the network administration in the context bar on the left. After opening the tixxt design manager, you are first taken to design management. The currently active design in the tixxt network is shown at the top.
Below this is the design archive where you can archive previous designs. You can also prepare alternative designs here. The standard design, which is initially provided for every tixxt network, can also be found here.
Each created design has four options in the archive:
1. Delete design: This option is only available in the archive to ensure that the active design is not accidentally deleted. The standard design is also protected from deletion so that you can always return to it as a starting point.
2. Edit design: This allows you to revise the design with all the options available in design manager. More details on this in the next point.
3. Test design locally (only for me): Using this test mode, the respective design is only displayed to the respective network admin. Clicking on ‘Test locally (only for me)’ to change the design for your own view. The active design is not affected by this is and is still visible to all other users. By clicking on ‘Stop testing’, your own view is switched back to the active design.
4. Activate design for all: Once the edited design version is complete and ready to be made visible to all members of the network, it can be activated for everyone. The active design changes and the previous design are placed in the design archive.
Design editing #
In design editing, all changes can be tracked live by the admin. However, these changes are only local – the users of the network are not aware of the changes until the design has been saved and activated for all.
The editing screen has two tabs by default: The first tab is used to make settings for the colours. The simplest version defines three basic colours for the tixxt network, from which all other colours are calculated automatically.
Colours #
The primary colour is used most prominently in the design, for example for highlighting the active elements in the module and context bar.
The accent colour is used for smaller elements such as notification counters.
The link colour is used to highlight the links. This also applies to links such as usernames.
Below this are three more settings: Here you can
- decide between unicolour and duotone icons,
- between a wide or tight layout for the entire network,
- and between different grey tones for larger areas (these can be found in the module bar and context bar, for example).
Those with a knack for creativity and some time to spare can use the advanced settings to manually adjust virtually every colour that was automatically calculated in the first step.
Images #
The second tab allows you to select images for your tixxt network that are used in the header. The tixxt design manager offers six different headline variations here:
1. Option one is the simplest variant: ‘Narrow logo without banner’.
2. Option two adds a unicolour banner to the narrow logo, which can be selected in any colour.
3. The third option adds a image banner to the narrow logo.
4. Would you prefer no logo and just a image banner? If so, then option four is the best choice.
5. If the logo is a bit taller, option five ‘High logo with unicolour banner’ is the best choice.
6. A taller logo can also be combined with a suitable image banner in option six.
Click on the respective variant and the corresponding upload options appear below. An empty template is also displayed to the respective network admin in the header area. The desired image file can now be simply moved into the respective field using drag & drop or selected manually. The image appears immediately in the header.
In the next step, you can customise the name of the design and then click on ‘Save’ to complete it. You can now use the ‘Design manager’ to activate it for everyone.

Requirements: IndividualCloud Maxx
By using your own CSS, the network admin has the option to further customise the design of tixxt. Please ensure your CSS is from legitimate and trustworthy sources. Copy & pasting CSS code from untrustworthy sources can lead to malicious code running in your network or errors in features.
The customer is responsible for using their own CSS in tixxt.
