Create new entry #
If you want to create a new entry in the app, you can do this by clicking the ‘New entry’ button at the top right. After clicking on this, the editing page of the entry that was previously defined is displayed.
All the fields that were added for the individual app entries in the ‘Fields’ tab are now available here. Below the entries are two checkboxes: ‘Send a copy to myself via email’ and ‘Also post this item to the stream’.
If the first checkbox is ticked, the person creating the entry receives a copy of the entry via email.
If the second checkbox is ticked, a post is automatically created in the relevant feed. For an app at network level, the post is created in the Global Feed. For an app at group level, this can be found in the feed of the respective group. The design of the post depends on the settings made under ‘Integrations’. Click on ‘Save’ to add the entry to the app.
Opening an entry, you can also edit or delete the respective entry.
If DeepL integration is activated in the network, app entries can be translated automatically for logged-in users via the “Translate” icon at the top left next to the Edit/Delete button. Clicking on the icon opens a context menu in which preselected languages are displayed. The option ‘More’ displays all other available languages. By clicking on the desired language, the total post is translated into the selected language and a small notice ‘(translated)’ is added to the text. Use the ‘Show original’ option to reset the text to the original language.
Edit entry #
The pencil icon is located above the relevant fields of the entry. Clicking on this opens the editing screen for the entry so that the respective fields can be edited.
All fields that have been added for the app are available on the editing page of the entry. Below the entries are two checkboxes: ‘Send a copy to myself via email’ and ‘Also post this item to the stream’.

By clicking on ‘Save’, the edited entry is saved to the app. ‘Save as new’ means that the current entry remains exactly as it was before it was edited and an additional new entry is created with the changes.
Delete entry #
The bin icon can be found above the relevant fields of the entry. Clicking on this opens a dialogue window with a security query to confirm the deletion (‘Are you sure you want to delete this?’). By clicking on ‘OK’, the entry is deleted and the main page is displayed.
