Requirements: Channels are available for the network (see network administration settings) and have been activated.
As with the user and group directory, the channel directory can be linked by a network administrator for example in the main navigation.
The name with which the directory can be called up can vary depending on the network.
The channel directory can also be opened directly from the context bar of the channels module by clicking on ‘Show more’.
Clicking on the respective link takes the user to the channel directory, which is structured as follows:
- Action bar at the top (search, filter, create channel (requires permissions)).
- Entries per page: 10, 25 or 50 channels.
- List of all channels including the option to subscribe to channels.
- Possibility to call up further result pages via pagination.

Search in channels #
The channels found in the network can be searched for using the search bar in the directory.
You can search by either channel name or channel description.
Filter options #
The filter feature can be accessed by clicking on the filter icon to the right of the search bar. The channel directory can be filtered alphabetically or according to channels subscribed.
