Group Permissions

Posts #

Requirements:
Old packages: tixxt Department, tixxt Business, tixxt Enterprise
New packages: tixxtCloud Business, IndividualCloud Enterprise, IndividualCloud Maxx

The group admin can configure permissions for creating posts under ‘Posts’ in the group administration.

Posts can be created by #

This setting controls the permission to create posts in the respective group. Here you can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and members can post in these groups. Selecting the latter setting allows any member of the group to publish posts in the respective group.

Comments can be created by #

This setting controls the permission to create comments in the respective group. Here you can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and members can comment on posts in this group. Selecting the latter setting allows any member of the group to leave comments on posts.

Share posts #

This setting controls whether group members have the permission to share posts from the group to other groups. You can choose to activate or deactivate the share function for posts in the group.

Note on ‘Deactivate sharing for this group’: If a post is also published in another group that allows posts to be shared, then this post can be shared nonetheless.

Appointments #

Requirements: none

Appointments can be created by #

This setting controls the permission to create appointments in the group calendars to which all members of the group have read access. You can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and group members can post appointments in these calendars. Selecting the latter setting allows any member of the group to create appointments in the group calendars.

Files #

Requirements: none

Existing files may be managed by #

The following actions fall under managing files in tixxt:

  • Moving files
  • Deleting files
  • Renaming files
  • Changing file descriptions

This setting controls the permission to manage files in the respective group folders to which all members of the group have read access (see Group folders). You can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and members can manage files in these folders. Selecting the latter setting allows any member of the group to manage files in the group folders.

Files can be created by #

This setting controls the permission to create files and to add new folders in the respective group (see Group folders). All group members have read access for the files and folders created. You can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and members can create/upload files. Selecting the latter setting allows any group member to create/upload files in the group’s file module.

Existing files can be edited and new versions can be created by #

This setting controls the permission to edit and add new version of files in the folders of the respective group (see Group permissions). You can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and members can edit/version files in these folders. Selecting the latter setting allows any group member to edit/version files in the group’s file module.

Existing files can be marked as final by #

This setting controls the permission to mark files in the respective group’s folders as ‘Final’ (see Root folders). Once files have been marked as ‘Final’, they can no longer be edited or versioned (see also Marking files as ‘Final’). You can choose whether only group admins or both group admins and members can mark files in this group as final. Selecting the latter setting allows any group member to mark files in the group’s file module as final.

App creator #

Requirements: The App Creator must be activated for the section by a network admin.

With ‘App Creator’, the group admin can create apps for their group. Apps created here are linked to the group and by default can only be accessed by members of the group. This must be taken into account when linking the app for the members.

Pages #

Requirements: none

With ‘Pages’, a group admin can create pages for their group, i.e. static pages with fixed content. Pages created here are linked to the group and by default can only be accessed by members of the group. This must be taken into account when linking the app for the members.
